Hand Woven Scarf using Hand Dyed Shetland Wool. Size 233/26cm. Wool, Fibre, Woven on Rigid Heddle Loom.

£95.00

Chequers depicts colourful elements of natures beauty derived from the wilds of the English countryside. This extra long scarf is for those that love to wear native Shetland wool, sourced directly from the Islands.

Hand dyed by me, then woven on my rigid heddle loom.

This scarf truly is one of a kind.

The fibres used are - Pure Shetland wool for both warp and weft. All fibres are superwash and nylon free.

The scarf is finely woven and will therefore fit nicely into your jacket, or coat, and will wrap around your neck two, to three times. Alternatively, it could be used to throw over a chair, or lay across your knees next to a crackling winters fire.

Measurements excluding tassels approximately - 233/26cm.

The two warp ends have been finished off with hem stitch, which keeps the wrap secure and decorative.

Care Instructions -
Wool does not need frequent washing. A simple airing outside on a dry day should be sufficient. If you feel your item needs washing, soak in a bowl of warm water using a no rinse wool wash. DO NOT agitate, or the wool will felt. Carefully squeeze out excess water (do not wring), roll up in a towel and stand on it - this will help a lot! Re shape and lay flat to air dry outside on a warm day. Do not dry over a radiator. Whilst not in use, I suggest carefully wrapping your woolly item in a plastic bag and sealing it until required.
