MY ETHOS

My colour palette is heavily inspired by neutral shades and rich earthy tones such as greens, browns and greys. I love a warm orange and colours of the hedgerows.

Using natural wool is really import for our business. I only use the best yarn so for me, this means it has to be non super-wash and nylon free. My ethos is simple, I only work with responsibly sourced wool from independent mills. My favourite source for wool is via small holdings and farms.

Wool is wonderful because it’s natural, it breaths, it insulates, its’s durable and it’s regenerative. It’s also incredibly tactile and the very essence of comfort.

My Shetland wool is grown by the sheep who live on the islands, then it’s expertly spun into the most glorious 4ply woollen spun yarn. It’s warm and lofty making it an ideal choice for all your Fairisle needs.

My BFL/Masham 4ply is buttery soft and UK grown making it a very dreamy yarn to work with.

Hawkcombe Wood is a superb 4ply, worsted spun yarn ideal for knitting just about anything! Three British sheep breeds raised in local farms in Exmoor make up this superb blend. The wool is spun in Exmoor too, you really can’t get more local than that!
