about

My name is Sarah, a passionate weaver and enthusiastic spinner based in the heart of North Essex, England. My journey into fibre arts began in 2012 when I discovered the joys of spinning yarn and experimenting with hand dyeing wool tops closely followed by yarn. Over the years, my woolly craft has evolved, and I am now dedicated entirely to the art of handweaving, creating unique, handcrafted pieces that reflect my love for tradition, texture, and creativity.

MY ETHOS

My colour palette is heavily inspired by neutral shades and rich earthy tones such as greens, browns and greys - colours of the hedgerows. But, I also admire a warm orange and vibrant purples!

Using natural wool is really import for my business. I only use the best yarn so for me, this means it has to be non super-wash and nylon free. My ethos is simple, I only work with responsibly sourced wool from independent mills. My favourite source for wool is via small holdings and farms.

Wool is truly remarkable—it’s natural, breathable, insulating, durable, and regenerative. Its tactile quality embodies warmth and comfort, making it the perfect material to weave.

My go to wool for weaving is Shetland, which is grown by the sheep who live on the islands, then expertly spun into the most glorious 4ply woollen spun yarn. It’s warm and lofty making it an ideal choice for weaving.
