All charges are the responsibility of the customer; should you have any concerns, or questions, please check with your local customs and postal services for details of any potential charges before making a purchase.

The new EU regulations came into force 1 July 2021. Gathered Sheep Yarns is not VAT registered. In stock items are normally posted within 2-3 working days of the order being placed. However, during busy times of the year, this time frame may increase. I am unable to post orders on Public Holidays. Please also check individual listings for a specific shipping timeframe.

What happens if my order exceeds 2kg in weight?

Unfortunately, I am unable to post orders exceeding 2kg, including packaging, as this exceeds the maximum weight limit for Royal Mail Small Parcels.

If your order surpasses this weight, the postage cost at checkout will automatically revert to £0.00. To proceed, please adjust your order by removing an item from your basket.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Please kindly note that an order cannot be sent to a PO address if the method of shipping is “Tracked and Signed.”

Shipping Update: Germany, EU, and Northern Ireland

I regret to inform you that I no longer ship to Germany due to the requirements of the LUCID Packaging Register. This system ensures that packaging sent to Germany is properly recycled. While registering with LUCID is free, businesses must partner with a dual systems provider, responsible for managing recycling on behalf of consumers. This partnership involves an annual fee based on the weight and type of packaging used, as well as additional administrative tasks. Unfortunately, I am unable to justify these costs and requirements at this time, though I deeply respect the purpose and importance of this initiative.

Additionally, I no longer ship to the EU or Northern Ireland due to the updated General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) in the EU. These new rules, which incepted 14 December 2024, introduce further complexities that currently make delivery to these regions unfeasible for my business.

Once your order is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email to acknowledge your purchase.

When your order has been dispatched, you will receive another email notifying you that your parcel is on its way.

If you have selected a tracked and insured shipping option, your tracking number will be included in the dispatch notification email, allowing you to monitor your parcel's journey.

Please note that your package will be sent to the delivery address provided at the time of ordering. Unfortunately, once the parcel is dispatched, I cannot amend the delivery destination.

Please note that I am unable to initiate inquiries with Royal Mail regarding delayed or potentially lost parcels until 20 working days have passed for European deliveries and 25 working days for the rest of the world. Royal Mail does not accept claims or classify parcels as missing or lost until this timeframe has elapsed.

In the meantime, kindly check with your local Post Office or inquire with neighbours, as your parcel may have been misdelivered. Thank you for your understanding.

What happens if my order exceeds 2kg in weight?

For overseas orders weighing more than 2kg (the maximum weight for a Royal Mail small parcel, including all packaging), the shipping cost will display as zero at checkout. In such cases, I will contact you to arrange payment for the postage amount due.

Royal Mail Delivery Information For Parcels (Up to 2kg including packaging):

• Tracked 48: £3.50

• Loss or damage: Items are covered for loss or damage up to £150 or the value of the item, whichever is lower.

If you expect to be unavailable when your order is delivered and would like your parcel left in a safe place, please inform me at the time of order. However, please note this option is at your own risk, and no compensation will be provided if the parcel goes missing from the designated safe place.

• Button-Only Orders: These are sent via 2nd Class Standard. If the order value exceeds £20.00 your buttons will be upgraded to Tracked 48.

The cost to post mail to the US in particular, has risen sharply. This is in part due to increases in USPS last mile policy. Royal Mail now treats the US as a separate zone with its own postal rate.
